The Berea College Department of Chemistry has five faculty whose expertise covers most areas of chemistry (analytical/environmental, biochemistry, inorganic, organic, and physical). For our size, we have a very respectable range of instrumentation to support student research and education. Students who have graduated from Berea College have pursued a wide range of post-baccalareate paths, ranging from graduate school to professional school (medical & pharmacy) to immediate employment in the chemical industry. We try to instill in our majors a love of science and chemistry, as well as a sense of belonging & community.
