How to Find Call Numbers

How Do I Get a Call Number?

Call numbers can be found in BANC. When you search the catalog for a book, a journal, a videotape, or another item physically owned by Berea College, the end result of your search is a call number. It is important that you write down the entire call number.

The results of a BANC title search "Writing Research Papers" are shown above. The call numbers for each item appear in the second line of each record (as highlighted). For example, the call number for Writing Research Papers: a Guide to the Process is 808.02 W417w 2005. The location of each item within Hutchins Library is also provided on the second line of each result (also highlighted).
