For the advanced laboratory portfolio, each student must select a highly cited paper (over 400 citations) to read and discuss with the laboratory instructor. The external links lead to some lists generated by other sites that may prove useful in identifying such a highly cited paper. In addition the list that follows contains highly cited papers from common ACS journals (The Journal of the American Chemical Society, Journal of Physical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Journal of Organic Chemistry, and Inorganic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry) as well as some personal favorites from other journals. These lists include the number of times cited but are not sorted other than alphabetically by first author.
