Assistant Professor of Organic Chemistry
This tenure track assistant professor position requires a Ph.D. in organic chemistry (or equivalent degree).
Post-doctoral research and teaching experience are highly desirable. Candidates who bring a
strong background in synthetic organic chemistry will be given strongest consideration.
The successful candidate will be capable of teaching organic chemistry, advanced organic chemistry,
nursing chemistry and advanced laboratory courses. The new faculty member will also be expected
to contribute regularly to the general education curriculum at Berea College. As with all
tenure-track faculty at Berea College, there is an expectation of excellent teaching and
of conducting research (securing both internal and external funding) with students as well
as advising and other college activities. Interested applicants should send a letter of

of teaching philosophy, a description of a research program that would involve undergraduate
